ADVENTURES OF THE DANUBE RIVER VALLEY GANG

The books in the ADVENTURES OF THE DANUBE RIVER VALLEY GANG Series tell the stories and bring to life the lives and adventures of two Bajaš cousins – Peter and Jovan – and their family,friends, school mates,and even their 'enemies' as well. As members of an UNA KID'S CLUB lead by Mr. Ignac, a wise old man with a Big Bible and lots of very interesting stories and sayings to share anytime the boys need help, the boys have become 'Followers of Jesus'. Their are living their lives differently now – everyone can see the change. Both boys want to do what Jesus would do in every situation.

But for two young Roma boys living in a Roma village close to their nearby Serbian bully-boy neighbours, living changed lives does not mean an end to the sorts of trials, difficulties, challanges, and hard times which seem to follow young Roma boys where ever they go. The Books for Boys series were written by Bob Hitching with a heart for young Roma boys ages 8-12 in mind who each day must face these challanges. The books form a collection of tales which bring to young readers – Roma and otherwise – answers to some of the most difficult questions in life no matter what age the reader: How do I love my enemies and forgive those who hurt me? And, how can I stand up for, and protect, the poor, the weak, and the oppressed against the bullies of this world?
